Background:
- Supervisor of the RPTS Aquatics Minor
- Over 20 years in the aquatics management field
- 13 years as a K-12 Physical Education teacher
- 15 years in an administrative role with the IU Outdoor Pool
- 10 years on the board of the American Red Cross - Monroe County
Research:
Research interests revolve around the recreational uses of aquatic spaces for the purposes of personal well being. Within this area a study of interest involves the resocialization of traditional competitive athletes to a life- long recreational model of participation. Other areas include: lifeguard vigilance, management competencies, drown proofing, and programming.
