Research
Dr. Bonilla is interested in issues related to culture, health promotion, and disease prevention, particularly in connection to Latinas' health and maternal and child health. She is interested in culturally responsive and evidence-based public health interventions, community-based participatory research, the use of promotoras de salud (community health workers) in public health, and qualitative methods in program evaluation.
