Research
Her public health work utilizes a systems approach that always incorporates a review of policy, the socio-cultural environment, economic conditions, community safety, and political stability in relationship to behavioral outcomes. Her international work incorporates a medical anthropology model. Current research interests include: Aphasia, immigrant health, and health disparities. She is currently developing a research proposal to evaluate current aphasia therapy programs and their long term impact in securing a satisfactory post aphasia quality of life for the patient and the family/primary caregivers.
